Age Condition:
As on Jan 1st, 2014, the age of the candidate should lie in between 20 yrs to 25yrs.  The age eligibility will take into account the candidate’s age recorded in High school certificate. The age grace is maintained of respective years for the candidates who are in reserved categories.

Educational Background:
 
The applicants must have hold Graduation Degree from the reputed college/institute. For the SI Post (Delhi Police), candidates should be in possession of DL for driving Light Vehicle. On the date of Physical Endurance Test and Standard Test 


Application Cost: 

The candidates have to pay Rs 100/- through CRFS or online methods. Reserved categories are exempted to pay the charges.  Candidates can collect Stamps from Departmental Post Offices and got it cancelled from the same. This CRFS should be enclosed with the application form. Candidates can also be paid through Challan Form duly paid in SBI. 

Selection Manner:
 
Applicants have to appear for the Written Test, Skill Test, PET (Physical Endurance Test), Interview/ Personality Test.

Applicants should visit the official website of the SSC and apply online. The last date to apply online for Part 1 is 9/Apr/2014 up to 5 PM. In Part 2 process, candidates have to upload the Photo and Signature and complete the payment facilities.  The part 2 registration is closing on 11 Apr, 2014. The application can be sent in prescribed format and CRFS stamp to the respective regions.

Know Fact About SSC Recruitment 2014

The Staff Selection Commission is the main organization responsible for the conduct of examinations towards recruitment of the eligible candidates in Group ‘B’ and ‘C’ posts of the Ministries and Departments of the Central Government of India. The Staff Selection Commission announces every year through Official Notification on its website for the invitation of candidates in different cadres of services. The Staff Selection Commission is an added wing of the Ministry of Personnel and Training which is formed with sole responsibility of organizing and conducting recruitment exams and interviews for selecting eligible candidates applying to Group ‘B’ and ‘C’ posts in Government Of India.

           
SSC Examinations:

The Staff Selection Commission conducts a wide range of examinations for various non technical group C and group B posts. The main examinations conducted by the SSC are as follows:
1. Combined Matric Level Examination
2. Combined Graduate Level Examination
3. Section Officer Examination
4. Tax Assistant Examination
5. Central Police Organization Examinations
6. Junior Engineers Civil and Electrical Examinations etc.

Eligibility Criteria for the SSC Examinations:

The candidates in order to participate in the Staff Selection Commission Exam should be either Matriculation/ Intermediate/ Graduation passed as per the requirements of the post applied for by a candidate. Also, the candidate must be an Indian Citizen for being eligible to this post. The candidates must also fulfill the minimum age criteria towards selection for this post. The minimum age should be 18 years and 40 years for all the applicants of SSC. There is also the clause of relaxation in the upper age limit for the deserving candidates as per the rules framed by the government for this purpose.


Pay Scale: Rs.5, 200- Rs.20, 200 (varies with the level of post applied)

Applying Criteria:

The candidates can apply in either online or offline modes whichever is easier for them. The online registration can be done from the official website of the SSC by uploading the scanned image of photo and signature of the applicant in the online form available for this purpose. The offline registration can be done through by taking the application forms from any of the centres of examination as well as by downloading it online from the official website of SSC. The form can be filled manually by entering all the necessary details in it and sending it by post to the official address along with all the necessary documents for this purpose.

Application Fee Details:

The candidates can pay the application fee either through the Bank Challan of any Bank attached to SSC or through Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card for this purpose. The fee for registration to different posts is different depending on the candidate category.

Exam Pattern:

The exam patterns for the SSC examination are available online at the official website of the SSC for interested candidates to download. The candidates are required to participate in a written exam which is based on the mostly the IQ, General Knowledge, Communication Skill as well as Subject Specific questions aimed at judging the mental awareness as well as subject knowledge levels for this purpose.

The written examination is followed by an Interview or Skill Test depending on the post applied by the candidate.

The examinations are normally announce and scheduled to take place in the months of February/ March for all the candidates. The SSC has announced the schedule of examinations to be held in 2014 on its official website for interested candidates to go through.
