Description about the SSC Stenographers:
Age Bound as on 01/08/2013:
Persons with age group of 18yrs to 27 yrs are free to apply provided they meet out the other eligibility conditions. Grace in the maximum age is provided to the Scheduled Caste, OBC and Scheduled Tribe applicants.
Those who have qualified the HSC or 12th Board are eligible for the said post.
Manner of Selection:
The candidates whose application form will be selected need to take the written test and after qualifying this he/she has to attend the skill test.
Cost of Registration:
The cost of registering for the post is merely Rs 100 that only needs to pay by the General male applicants. All other categories are out of the ambit of this compulsion of paying charges. The payment of fee can be made either using the CRFS (Central Recruitment Fee Stamps) that can be received from any of the Post Offices or using the Registration pay-in-slip/Challan form that has to deposit in the State bank of India Bank branch. Applicants can also the Net or Online banking facilitated by the SBI.

Steps for Registration:
The filled in application detail paper can either be submitted through post or via online mode.
The submission of offline application will be possible if candidate send the application request at the respective SSC office in which region he falls.
For Online submission, candidate needs to visit the official website and complete the registration process that is bifurcated in two phases. Part 1 registration consists of the candidate’s personal and educational information while the Part 2consists of uploading of scanned photo & sign. For completing the entire registration process, it is mandatory to separately completing the each phases. Pay the fee either challan way or using the Net facility whichever is suitable.
