The State Bank of India has revealed the notification for recruitment of Probationary Officers in the bank. The online registration for applying to the post will be starting from 7th of April, 2014 and end on 25th of April, 2014. With respect to 10th of Aug, 2014, candidate should complete atleast his/her Graduation from the recognized university.
The candidates should fall in the age group of 21 years to 30 years with respect to 1st of April, 2014. The age relaxation will be granted to the candidates of reserved categories as per the rules of central government.
The candidates should pass Written Test (Objective and Descriptive) and G.D & Personal Interview. The written test will be online in nature and carries the sections Data Interpretation and Analysis, English Language, Reasoning and General Awareness, Computer & Marketing. The time duration will be 2 hours and of total marks 200. Presence of negative marking is also in question paper. After completion of online test, descriptive paper will be administered which carries sections letter writing, précis writing and essay. Descriptive Test will be of 50 marks.
The candidates have to apply online. The registration can be submitted through official website of SBI. The online portal will be available from 7th of April for registration and closing on 25th of April, 2014. Anyone who has desire and eligibility for PO post should submit their applications before the available dates. After filling up of the application form, the printed copy of it can be retained for using it in future.
The candidates of General and Other Backward Class have to deposit Rs. 500/- on the other hand, the reserved categories have to remit Rs. 100/- only be means of Challan Form paid in any bank branch of State Bank of India. The payment can also be paid via Credit, Debit Card or Internet Banking facilitated by SBI. Charges have to be paid by the candidates after 48 hours of registration process.

Designation Offered: Probationary Officer
Pay Scale: Rs 14500-600 /7-18700-700 /2-20100-800 /7-25700 as applicable to the Junior Management Grade Scale I
Starting pay of Rs.16, 900 + DA + HRA+ CCA as applicable. The candidates will be also eligible to get Medical Aid for self (100%) and for family (75%) along with Home Travel Concession/ Leave Free Concession and concessional interest rates in the form of available perquisites.
The candidates applying for the concerned post should be a graduate from a recognized university in India or anything equivalent thereto for this purpose.
The candidates applying for the post of Probationary officer must not be less than 21 and more than 30 years of age. The candidates seeking relaxation in ages will be given as per the rules of government rules framed for this purpose which is as follows:

5 Years for SC/ ST; Ex-Servicemen
The candidates are selected through a written exam which is followed by a group discussion and interview for all the eligible candidates. The exam will be conducted in two phases: the first phase consists of Objective Tests and Descriptive Tests (250 marks). The second phase consists of the Group Discussion and Interview (50 marks).
The written exam consists of Objective Tests (200 marks) in objective type questions on the following 4 sections:
I. English Language: This section contains questions on Grammar, Vocabulary and Comprehension etc.
II.General Awareness, Marketing and Computers
III.Data Analysis and Interpretation
IV.Reasoning (High Level)
The Descriptive Test (50 marks) is a 1 hour test of English Language which consists of questions on Comprehension, Short Précis, Letter Writing and Essay.
The candidates will have to qualify in each section of the paper in order to qualify in the round with the minimum percentage of marks as decided by the Bank on the basis of the collective performance of the candidates in the test.
The marks obtained by the candidates in the Objective and the Descriptive Tests will be converted to out of 75 and marks obtained in the GD and Interview will be converted out of 25 for arriving at the final merit list which is out of 100 for each category. The final selections will be made from the top ranked candidates in each category.
