UGC NET Exam Months: June and December
UGC NET Exam Eligibility Criteria:
Candidate should have completed Post Graduation in the concerned streams with minimum of 55% marks. There is no age restriction for the exam.
Candidates have to appear for the Written Exam conducted by UGC.
Way of Applying:
Candidates can apply for the UGC NET Exam by referring the official website of the UGC. There candidates have to register themselves and then proceed for filling up the personal and educational details. Take the print out of the Bank Challan Form and pay the application charges in any SBI Branch. Submit the Application Form and Challan Form of the University copy to the concerned coordinating university. Retain the Admission Card for the future purpose. Do login with same user id and password in the future if any information is sought.
UGC NET Exam Notification and Admit Card Information:
The notification regarding the NET Exam comes one and half month prior the exam on the official website of the UGC and in the leading newspapers of the nation. The detailed notice for applying to the exam is available on UGC portal so, candidates can download the official advertisement to get more about the exam.
Admit Card for the Exam will not be issued by the UGC and candidates have to write in the Venue of their exam on the Admission Card (that is downloaded while filling up the form). Come up with this card along with Photo ID proof on the exam date.
Exam Pattern of UGC NET:
Paper 1: 60 Ques. out of which 50 are compulsory.
Paper 2: 50 Ques. And all are compulsory.
Paper 3: 75 Ques. And all are compulsory.
Total Credit: 350 marks.
Time Allocation: 1¼ hrs for Paper 1 and Paper 2 & 2 ½ hrs for Paper 3
However, no marks shall be deducted for the wrong answer.
Exam Pattern of UGC CSIR NET:
The paper covers the following sections: Planetary Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, and Earth Atmospheric Ocean.
Total Credit: 200 Marks
Total Time: 3hrs
UGC NET Exam Syllabus:
Paper 1: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Research Methodology, Logical Reasoning, Puzzles, Computer Application, Graphical Analysis, Data Interpretation & Analysis, Numerical Ability, General English Etc.
Paper 2 and Paper 3: It covers the topics from Post graduation level from which the candidate has applied for the exam.
