CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) is conducting NET (National Eligibility Test) 2014 on behalf of UGC (University Grants Commission). This test is for determining the eligibility of candidates for the position of Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellow and Assistant Professor both. Get more update on recruitmentinfosite.com . Particulars of UGC NET 2014 :
Name of the Examination- NET (National Eligibility Test) 2014
Age Block- Age limit for spirants applying for the position of Junior Research Fellow is 28 years as on 1st of December, 2014 and there is no upper age limit for the aspirants applying for the position of Assistant Professor.
Academic Qualification- Applicants should have secured at least 55 per cent marks at Maters degree or equivalent level from a known University / Institution approved by UGC. Applicants who have appeared or will be appearing at the final year examination of Masters Degree are also eligible to apply.
Pattern of Examination- NET will comprise of three papers. Objective type questions will be asked in all three papers. Three papers will be divided into two sessions. First session will include Paper-I and Paper-II, each paper will be of 1 ¼ hours. Paper-I will include 60 questions out of which candidates have to attempt any 50 and Paper-II will include 50 compulsory questions. Second session will consist of Paper-III of 75 compulsory questions, which will be of 2 ½ hours.
Paper-I : 50 questions to be attempted, out of 60 questions, carrying 100 marks
Paper-II : 50 questions (compulsory), 100 marks
Paper-III : 75 questions (compulsory), 150 marks
Syllabus of Examination-
1. Paper-I : This paper will focus on the assessment of teaching / research aptitude of the aspirant. Questions will be based on reasoning ability, general awareness, divergent thinking, etc.
2. Paper-II : This paper will focus on subjects selected by the aspirants (as mentioned in the official notification).
3. Paper-III : This paper will focus on subjects selected by the aspirants (as mentioned in the official notification). The paper will cover the entire syllabus, including elective subjects.
Registration Charges- Rs.450 is the application fee for General category aspirants, for OBC category aspirants (non-creamy layer) the application fee is Rs.225 and Rs.110 is the application fee for PWD / SC / ST category aspirants. Application fee should be paid either by using Debit / Credit Card or by using system generated e-Challan (to be deposited in Syndicate / ICICI / Canara Bank).
Process of Applying :
Interested aspirants can apply online for NET 2014 by visiting the official website of CBSE NET : cbsenet.nic.in . Contenders must fill all the required details in the online application form and upload scanned copy of recent passport size photograph. After completely filling the application form and making payment of the application fee aspirants should submit the application. Applicants must print hard copy of the application submitted. Contenders must send the hard copy of application and other documents in an envelope super scribed as “UGC NATIONALELIGIBILITY TEST FOR JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP & ELIGIBILITY FOR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, DEC – 2014”. Envelope should be submitted to the Registrar / Principal of the Coordinating Institution.
