The Jawahar Lal University (JNU) holds the admission test each year to admit the candidates in the various university courses run as undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes.  Crucial Dates:

 Closing Date to Issue Application Form by JNU: 11th of March, 2014

Closing Date to Apply Online: 26th of March, 2014 till 5PM

Closing Date to send Offline Application Form: 28th of March, 2014

Closing Date to send Online Application Form: 02nd of April, 2014

Result Sharing: 26th of June, 2014 (Anticipated) 

Counselling Dates: August, 2014

Admission Test Dates:  16th of May, 17th of May, 18th of May and 19th of May, 2014

Entrance Test Fee:

1. M. Phil., Ph.D. & Pre-Ph.D., Ph.D. Courses: Candidates requires admission directly in PhD or are JRF Holders need to pay Rs 220/- through Demand Draft. 

2. M.Sc., M.A., and MCA, M.Tech, M. Phil., Ph.D.  Courses: Admission Fee for these courses is Rs 220/- for 1 study field, Rs 430/- for 2 study fields and Rs 600/- for 3 fields study through Demand Draft.

The Demand Draft should be drawn in favor of JAWAHARLAL NEHRU UNIVERSITY payable at New Delhi.

The above entrance fee is applicable for General and Other Backward Class candidates. Reserved classes will have fee relaxation. 

Study Fields here means that candidates can opt for different programmes at the same level. Maximum 3 study fields can be opted.

Admission Criteria in JNU:

The university conducts the Entrance Test for the various courses/programmes. The entrance test is held on the aforesaid dates. Candidates have to appear for the Viva Voce phase as per their course admission criteria and at last counseling of the finally admitted candidates will be done.   

Applying Process:

Candidates who are willing to apply for the programmes may send their complete application form accompanied by the Demand Draft and other documents through speed post or registered post addressing to Section Officer (Admissions), Room No.28, Administrative Block, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi – 110067 before the closing date mentioned above.
