CBSE Exam date 2014 for Classes 12th, 10th announced at cbse.nic.in

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the date for the examination of Board exams for Classes 12th and 10th. The CBSE said that the exams would commence from March 1, 2014.

The CBSE on its official website said, "The Board Examination 2014 of Class X and Class XII will start from March 1, 2014. The date sheet of examination will be declared in the last week of December 2013.

The students appearing in the Class X and Class XII will be able to download the date sheet for the exams after the CBSE announces it in December this year.

Last year, the CBSE Class 12th board annual examination also started from March 1, 2013.

Anxious parents and students have forced the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to come out with the dates for its Class 10 and 12 board examinations a month in advance.
According to a notification put up on the CBSE website, the exams next year will start on March 1.
The complete date sheet, however, is expected to come out in the last week of December.
The board decided to announce the dates early as it was being flooded with a large number of calls and emails from parents and students, who wondered if the upcoming general elections would prompt a rescheduling of the examinations.
According to Central Board of Secondary Education officials, the board has also written to all election commissions across the country, indicating the exam dates clearly.
“We wanted to put an end to all speculation as a lot of worried parents were calling us up to ask if the dates of the board exams would be advanced or pushed back keeping in mind the general elections. There is no change in our dates,” said an official who did not want to be named.
The board exams usually start in the first week of March and ends by the third week of April.
The general elections in 2009 were conducted in April and May.
