Name of the Examination: Karnataka CET-2014
Eligibility Requirements: The candidates should have studied Physics and Mathematics as essential subjects and Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or Computer Science as optional subjects with minimum of 45% marks in class 12th. The mode of study should be in English language.
Cost of Application: The candidates’ local to Karnataka state need to pay INR 650/- by means of Challan Form duly deposited in State Bank of Mysore, Indian Bank or CBI (Central Bank of India). The applicants of reserved classes should pay INR 500/- only. Those persons who reside outside Karnataka state should forward Demand Draft of amount INR 750/-
Examination Pattern of KCET-2014:
The entrance test will consist of three papers that are Physics, Mathematics/Biology and Chemistry. The group of subjects to be asked in entrance test shall depend upon the name of the course for which candidate has applied i.e. B. Tech or MBBS/BDS. The number of questions in each section shall be 60 and thereby making total maximum marks 180. The duration of time for attempting Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology sections shall be 80 minutes each. There will be no negative credit for attempting wrong questions.
Selection Mode: The candidates who secured high marks in common written test shall be called for counseling in due course of time. The candidates who have applied for Architecture programme should have valid NATA Score Card.
Application Manner: The applications should be obtained and submitted through respective State Authority by making required application fee and it is supposed that applications must be submitted only from the eligible candidates. Those who reside in other states shall get application form by forwarding Demand Draft of required amount drawn in “EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF KARNATAKA EXAMINATION AUTHORITY, BANGALORE”. The complete applications should be received before deadline date.
Admit Card and Result Details: The candidates can download their Admit Card from the official website of KCET. The information regarding results shall be announced on the same portal. The candidates who declared successful in the entrance test shall be issued Rank Card for counseling process.
