Academic Requirements:

 The candidates should complete 1^st class or equal grade Post graduation degree inPlanetary Sciences or Atmospheric Science or Space Physics or Astronomy & Astrophysics or Space Science or Physics or Meteorology or Applied Physics from recognized university. The candidates who will be passing their qualifying exam current year can also appear for Interview; however, such candidates should furnish mark-sheet on the date of joining duty.

Age Bar:  

The candidates should have maximum age less than or equal to 28 years with respect to closing date of online registration i.e. 18^th June, 2014. The relaxation in maximum age is granted to the candidates who belong to PWD category as per the norms of the government. 

Procedure to Apply:  

The applications shall be registered online through from dated 04^th June, 2014 to 18^thJune, 2014. The application summary form enclosed with necessary testimonials and documents should be reached at "Senior Administrative Officer, Recruitment & Review Section, VSSC, ATF Area, ISRO (PO)., Thiruvananthapuram - 695 022" latest by 25^th June, 2014.

Deadline to receive the printout of Application Summary Form: 25^th June, 2014

Sharing of Admit Cards: 04^thJuly, 2014 Onwards

Written Exam: 12^th July, 2014

Sharing of Admit Cards for candidates holding GATE/UGC-NET CSIR certificate: 12^th July, 2014

Interview Dates: 13^th July & 14^th July, 2014

Service Tenure & Salary Norms:

 The engagement on fellowship position will be of 1 year in beginning but it may get extended if appointee performs well while holding the post. The appointee will be Rs 16000/- per month which will be increased by Rs. 2000/- i.e. Rs 18, 000 per month after completing 2 years. 

Selection Manner: 

The candidates will be shortlisted for Interview through written test but those candidates who have passed GATE exam or passed UGC-CSIR in JRF category only will be directly invited for interview. The result of written exam will be disclosed on next day.
