Post Name- Airmen for Group Y (For Auto-mobile Technician, Ground Training Instructor and Indian Air Force (Police)) trades

Age Group- Job seeker’s age should be within the age limit of 21 yrs. Contender’s date of birth should be between 01.11.1994 to 30.11.1997.

Scale of Pay- During training applicant will be paid Rs.8,500.

Academic Requirements- Applicant should be 12th / Intermediate passed or any other course equivalent to it with at least 50 per cent marks.
Contender should also have passed 2 year Vocational Course recognized / affiliated by State Education Boards or Councils / CBSE with at least 50 per cent marks.

Process of Recruitment- Written Test, Physical Fitness Test, Medical Examination and Personal Interview will be the criteria for selection.

Application Process :
Applicant will be eligible to take part in the rally carrying the Consent Form in the prearranged format, 7 copies of recent colour passport size photograph taken on or after 7th of April, 2014, two self addressed unstamped white envelopes, attested copies of all the necessary documents and passing certificates along with the originals and photocopies of passing certificates self attested. All the above mentioned documents should be sent to Commanding Officer, 11 Airmen Selection Centre, Vip Chowk, Borjhar, Guwahati (Assam) – 781015.

 13.07.2014 is the date of Written Test and 14.07.2014 is the date of Interview for Cachar, Cherang, Darrang, Jorhat, Karimganj,Kabri Anglong, Lakimpur, North Cachar Hills,Nagaon,Sib Sagar, Sonitpur, Golaghat, Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Dhemaji, Marigaon, Hailakandi Districts of Assam and Mizoram.

15.07.2014 is the date of Written Test and 16.07.2014 is the date of Interview for Barpeta, Baksa, Bongaigaon, Dhubri, Kamrup, Kamrup Metro, Kokrajhar, Nalbari, Udalguri Districts of Assam, Tripura, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh & Meghalaya.

 The cutoff date to determine age shall be July 1st, 2014. Maximum age relaxation shall be applicable for the reserved class candidates. 

Educational Condition: The minimum educational qualification for Ground Duty Branches is PG Degree or PG Diploma securing atleast 50% marks whereas for remaining branches, Engg or Tech degree with 1stdivision marks is required.  
Selection Phases:

 The following phases should be qualified by the candidates so as to join the applied branch.
 Air force Common Admission Test   ->Intelligence Test->Psychological Test-> Group Test-> Medical Test -> Personal Interview

NOTE: Pilot Aptitude Battery Test should be passed by the contender in order to pass in Flying Branch. The recruitment process will be conducted under Air Force Selection Boards.

Educational Background: 

 The applicants must have passed Class 12 with securing atleast 50% marks in aggregate & 50% marks securing alone in English subject.

Age Bar:

The maximum age of the candidate should not be more than 21yrs or in other words, their Date of Birth should fall from 1 Aug’94 to 30 Nov’97.  Given dates are also included in calculating age of the candidate. 

Selection Criteria: 

 The applicants have to attend Written Exam, PFT, and Interview for qualifying to the post. At last, Medical Test will be conducted to make final list of the selected candidates. The date, time and name of the districts for attending recruitment test are mentioned in the official notification. 

Manner of Application: 

 The applicants who fulfill the age and educational criteria might appear for selection tests from dated 20th of Apr to 26th of Apr, 2014. The test will be held at 7 Airmen Selection Centre, 1 Cubbon Road, Bengaluru (Karnataka) starting from 7 AM and finishing around 10 AM. In order to appear for the test, candidates have to bring the 7 sets of latest pp size photographs, 2 self addressed envelopes of dimension 24X10 cms, true and Xeroxed copies of Class 10th certificate, marks card, Intermediate certificate and marks card, Residence Proof, ward of Air Force etc. In absence of required certificates and documents, candidates will not be allowed to sit for the exam.

Manner of Selection: The selection programme consists of Written Exam, Physical Fitness Test, and Interview and at last Medical Examination. The recruitment process will take total four days to complete that is 12 Apr to 15 Apr, 2014 and will cover all the districts of Chandigarh and Punjab.

Educational Condition: 

 The candidates must have passed Class 12th in Science/Arts/Commerce streams OR done Vocational Course. The minimum eligibility marks secured by candidates is 50%.  

Age Required: The birthday of the candidate should fall from 1 Aug, 1994 to 30 Nov, 1997. In other words, the maximum age of the candidate should not be more than 21 years. 

Physical Standards: The candidates should fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria for the post. The table comprising height, weight, chest, color vision etc. is given in the official notification. 

Application Manner: The male candidates may report at Air Force Station Adampur (Doaba), Jalandhar (Punjab) if they fulfill the eligibility criteria for the job. It is required to attend the recruitment test along with necessary documents. The written test and PFT will be conducted on 12thof April, 2014 and the candidates passed in these rounds will be allowed to appear for Interview and Medical Examination Rounds on 13 Apr, 2014. 14thand 15th Apr, 2014 are reserved days. 

Written Exam Information: The candidates will be screened out for PFT round on the basis of their performance in written test. The test will be of duration 45 minutes and will be Hindi and English languages. The result of test conducted will be declared on the very same day.
